The Samobor Training “Mastering the Art of Training” took place in the small town of Samobor at the end of July 2023 and lasted for three weeks. The hostel was so nice and the town really cute and relaxing, full of green and pedestrian walks into the nature in a characteristic mittel-european architecture.

Thirty people joined the training from seven different countries : Italy, Romania, Lituania, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Macedonia.

My name is Francesco and I belong to the Italian team composed by Marcello, Elena, Alfredo, I ve been participant to Training Course with the supervision of the coordinator Emiliano of Amaita Association and Umit and Andreja (our trainers of the hosting organization).

My personal expectations from the training were to learn as much as I could about the methodologies and techniques of leading a group, sharing all the best relevant practices with both the trainers and the participants and it succeeded.

Therefore, my main goal was to achieve a good knowledge about how to become a good trainer within Eu projects as well as how to lead classes while being a teacher at school.

Indeed, I like to take part in European projects and to share my experience with foreign people from all over the world.

When I arrived in Samobor, I immediately felt part of a group that wanted to learn a lot combining it with joy and friendship. I never felt alone and i always tried to speak with everyone showing my personal ideas about life and european experiences.

The trainers Umut and Andreja explained us properly the Eu Projects institutions, tools, as well as methods/techniques and energizers, the challenges and opportunities of being a trainer, how to deal with participants and their emotions.

I liked how seminars were organised and the space our trainers gave us to organise our extra-class lessons (as an example, the Eva art laboratory or the Lucian mindfulness session , Marcello’s literature class and Ikbal Turkish lesson).

It was really important for me to take notes of the practices that a good trainer has to implement while leading a group, thanks to Umut and Andreja.

That’s why I’ve chosen the project…I learned a lot and I started to recommend these kind of projects to friends of mine. It’s also my will to keep in touch with people from the training because I met really lovely friends to share my moments with.
